TMCo were engaged to provide professional modelling, energy engineering, hydraulics and seismic plus peer review services for mechanical, electrical and stage production for this project which saw the joining of several older buildings into a place of worship and community.
The design incorporated an automatic glazed atrium stack ventilation system that from spring through autumn would ventilate several open plan spaces without the use of power. During winter, the dampers were closed automatically depending on occupancy and temperature set-points. This coupled with modeled glazing specification improvements allowed the overall energy consumption of the space to be significantly lowered.
