The first catholic church to be re-built since the 2011 earthquake; and is the first church to have a Green-star rating
The director of the Bishop's Pastoral Office, Mike Stopforth, said he was "thrilled" to have the new St Mary's church completed, especially because it was the first parish church in the diocese to be rebuilt since the 2011 earthquakes.
"The local community have worked very hard on the rebuild of the church. The new church is beautiful and will serve the community well for years to come."
This is the world’s second Green Star rated church for which TMCo were the GSAP consultants and managed this process. It shows what can be achieved on a budget
