Christchurch
Religious Facilities
TMCo were engaged to provide professional modelling, energy engineering, hydraulics and electrical services for this replacement building post Canterbury 2011 earthquakes. This project is currently on hold.
Early concept plans of new church and pastoral facility for the parish of St Francis of Assisi in Christchurch shown. A traditional church arrangement was requested with particular reference to the Franciscan tradition. The design includes a processional layering of spaces from exterior courtyards and cloistered garden areas into the church narthex, baptismal area, nave and clearly defined sanctuary. The church would be naturally acoustic and include a fresh air heating and cooling system, with seating for 450 people, and include Green Star sustainable design features
